2 Website Delivery and Server Logs

When you access our website, technically necessary data is transmitted to the web server so that the requested content can be delivered to your browser. This includes, in particular, your IP address.

The web server maintains Apache access and error logs. In particular, these involve processing your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested URL or file, the HTTP status code and the volume of data transferred, as well as the referrer URL and information about your browser and operating system, where transmitted by your browser. Error logs may also contain technical information about errors that have occurred.

We process this data to deliver the website, ensure its operation and security, and detect and resolve technical faults and abusive access. The data is not used for advertising tracking or to create user profiles.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest is to provide our website reliably and securely and ensure its technical functionality.

Providing this technically necessary data is not a statutory or contractual requirement. However, the website cannot be delivered without its transmission.

Server logs are retained for four weeks and then deleted. This retention period also applies to rotated or archived logs and their backup copies.

If individual log entries are required to investigate a specific security incident or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, they may be retained separately for as long as necessary. They are then deleted.

3 Hosting and Recipients

Our website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. In providing and operating the hosting infrastructure, Hetzner may process the personal data generated in this context as a service provider on our behalf.

Within our company, access is restricted to people responsible for operating and administering the website, insofar as access is necessary for their tasks. Data is disclosed to public authorities or other recipients where we are legally required to do so. The legal basis for such disclosure is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with the applicable legal obligation.

4 Cookies and External Content

Our website does not set cookies or use analytics or tracking services. Font files, scripts and other resources are provided locally. No external content, external scripts or content delivery networks are integrated.

5 Your Rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have the right of access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR), the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR), the right to erasure (Article 17 GDPR) and the right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR). The right to data portability applies under the conditions set out in Article 20 GDPR, in particular where automated processing is based on consent or a contract. These conditions generally do not apply to the processing of server data based on legitimate interests described here.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The supervisory authority generally responsible for private companies in Bavaria is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA):
Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany

6 Right to Object

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Article 21(1) GDPR).

We will then no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You can submit your objection using the contact details above.
